The Shenyang Consumers Association commissioned a professional testing agency to test, based on GB2007-2011 "General Technical Conditions for Children's Furniture", the 7 physical and chemical properties of the samples, formaldehyde emission, migratable elements, structural safety, wooden parts appearance, coating appearance, etc. were tested. Out of detection. The test results show that the quality of 10 samples does not meet national standards. Shenyang Consumers Association said that this comparison test showed that the quality problems of children's furniture samples were mainly concentrated in two aspects: First, there were many structural safety problems. The safety of children's furniture has problems such as sharp corners and non-use of glass devices. Five samples have not been rounded, and one sample uses glass parts, which may cause accidental injuries to children. Second, the formaldehyde emission exceeds the standard. According to the national quality standards, the formaldehyde emission should be less than or equal to 1.5mg / kg, and the comparative test has 4 samples of formaldehyde emission exceeding the standard, the highest reached 3.8mg / kg, more than doubled, the lowest reached 2.0mg / kg. Because children's furniture that does not meet national standards may cause greater harm to children's body and intelligence, Shenyang Consumers Association reminds consumers to pay attention to "four points" when buying children's furniture. First, request a test report for children's furniture. Check whether the new national standard is implemented, and check whether the formaldehyde emission and heavy metal content meet the standard. If the merchant cannot provide a test report, it is best not to buy it. Second, ask for product specifications and consumer certificates.
