Wang Gang pointed out that this move will accelerate the industrialization of security monitoring and control of digital video and audio codec (SVAC) national standards, strengthen the application of intelligent video surveillance system security, and further enhance China's security video surveillance technology. Deng Zhonghan stated that under the joint efforts and promotion of the cooperation of the two parties for many years, the SVAC national standard has become an important technology with independent intellectual property rights and patent rights in the “Skynet monitoring system” that safeguards national social security. The signing of this cooperation agreement will lay a good technical foundation for the further development of China's video information security and video online intelligence, and even beyond the current international level.

It is understood that the SVAC national standard is called "National Standard GB/T 25724-2010 "Technical Requirements for Security Video Surveillance Digital Video Audio Coding and Decoding"", which can meet various security needs in the field of video surveillance. At the same time, technologies and products based on this standard will work in many areas such as national security, digital cities, intelligent transportation, business finance, and health care. The SVAC National Standard was jointly formulated by the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and it was formally implemented on May 1, 2011. It is the first national information technology standard for national security - the national standard of the source of information, and has reached international standards. Advanced level.

The relevant report pointed out that with the maturity of technology development and the increasing degree of recognition, by 2012, the potential market demand for SVAC systems and products has reached 300 billion yuan, and is growing at a rate of 20% per year. This time, the Ministry of Public Security and China International Microelectronics Co., Ltd. will join forces to further deepen cooperation in core chips, security solutions, system promotion and other aspects related to the SVAC national standards. This will not only integrate superior market resources, but also concentrate advantages, promote development, and further promote SVAC. It is reported that at present, the relevant pilot projects based on the SVAC national standards have been accepted and put into use, and will be promoted in some provinces and municipalities as government projects. According to reports, the SVAC standard has been widely applied in many areas such as Shanxi, Hebei, and public safety and urban management. Not long ago, the Ministry of Public Security approved Guangdong Province as the country's first demonstration national standard for SVAC. By October of this year, Guangdong Province will implement the SVAC national standard uniformly for all video collection points funded by the government.
