Research on machining high precision micro-cone hole by EDM machine

With the rapid development of industry, EDM high-precision machining technology is becoming more and more popular in special processing, especially the application of micro-holes. A high-precision rotating cone-hole mechanism has been developed for processing high-precision micro-cone holes for automobile injectors to meet high-standard emission requirements, thereby enabling batch EDM machining of injectors.

1. Design of the structural scheme:

The mechanism of high-precision rotary machining of the taper hole is an important part of the numerical control EDM nozzle drilling machine tool. In order to meet the accuracy requirements of the taper and roundness of the injector nozzle of the EDM numerical control nozzle drilling, the electrode wire is required to be The working origin is inclined by a certain angle α to the reference point, and is rotated along a sub-center of the center of rotation to perform electric discharge machining. When the injector is above the working origin, the forward cone nozzle can be machined. When the injector is below the working origin, the reverse cone nozzle can be machined (see Figure 1). Therefore, the high-precision rotating reverse taper mechanism must have a tilt angle, a work origin adjustable, and a rotary motion along a center pivot line. According to the structural characteristics of the CNC EDM machine tool and the processing cone, the high-precision rotating cone mechanism is designed (see Figure 2).
