On December 19, Shanghai Datun Energy Co., Ltd. was informed that the company’s Xuzhou Datun Power Plant was classified as Jiangsu Province due to the “simple and non-normal operation of the off-site facilities, and the zero-emission efficiency assessment by the country in which it was repeatedly eliminated”. The Environmental Protection Agency is investigating one of the ten environmental cases.

Shanghai Energy stated that the company has long attached great importance to environmental protection. The total installed capacity of the unit in operation at Xuzhou Datun Power Plant is 444MW. The supporting environmental protection facilities such as Off* have passed the acceptance check of environmental protection on schedule. The company is conducting a serious inspection on the matters announced by the website of Jiangsu Environmental Protection Agency.
