The screw pump is a positive displacement rotor pump which sucks and discharges liquid by displacement of a plurality of sealed chambers formed by the screw tooth shape of the pump and the pump sleeve. A rigid seal type screw pump is not called a theoretical leakage channel between two adjacent sealed chambers in a screw pump, and a non-strictly sealed type screw pump is the opposite.

Therefore, all industries have placed great interest in it, especially in the petroleum and chemical industries.

The three-screw pump is composed of a main screw in the metal pump sleeve and two driven screws. The working pressure of the five-screw pump is usually below 0.8 MPa, and is often used in oil pumps for special occasions where the installation size is limited (eg, ships, ships, etc.).

Due to the large length of the working screw and the poor rigidity, the screw pump is easy to cause bending and cause work failure. 2. Starting of the screw pump The screw pump should be started with the suction and discharge stop valve fully open to prevent overload or suction.
Although the screw pump has a dry suction capacity, it must be prevented from dry running to avoid scratching the work surface.
If the pump needs to be started at a low oil temperature or high viscosity, the screw pump should be started with the suction and discharge valves and the bypass valve fully open, so that the load at the start of the pump is the lowest until the prime mover reaches the rated speed. Then gradually close the bypass valve.
When the bypass valve is opened, the liquid circulates continuously in the pump under throttling, and the more the circulating oil, the longer the circulation time, the more serious the heat of the liquid, and even the pump Damage caused by high temperature deformation must be noted.
3. The operation of the screw pump The screw pump must be operated in the specified direction to produce a certain suction and discharge.
When working on the pump, pay attention to check the pressure, temperature and mechanical shaft seal work. A slight amount of leakage should be allowed for the shaft seal. If the leakage does not exceed 20-30 seconds per drop, it is considered normal. If the screw pump produces noise during operation, it is often caused by too low oil temperature, too high viscosity of the oil, air entering the oil, loss of the coupling, or excessive pump wear.
Common knowledge of starting and running of screw pump;
The screw pump should be started with the suction and discharge stop valve fully open to prevent overload or suction.
