The instrument operating procedures are as follows:
1, ready
Before the instrument is wired, first the 'power switch' should be turned off, and the 'high voltage control' button should exit! The object to be tested should be separated from the power grid, and each end of the test must be connected to the earth through an artificial discharge rod, which fully proves the safety before wiring.
In particular, the measured object that is strongly interfered with by the grid leakage sensor at the substation or power plant site should receive all the measured line terminals in advance through multiple artificial discharge bars connected to the earth to avoid electric shocks to the wiring personnel when the wiring is completed. Only remove the artificial discharge rod at the measured end.
2. Wiring:
Connect the two 'E' terminals of the meter to the ground or zero end of the object under test, as well as the ground.
Connect the 'L' terminal of the meter to the line end under test, such as transformer windings, cable cores.
Terminating the 'G' terminal of the meter to the circuit under test requires the elimination of the effect of the leakage of the surface resistance protection ring and shielding net (the protection ring and the shielding net are made by the user according to the specific needs, for example, the shielding net can be wrapped tightly with multi-layer polyethylene) The L' end is bare metal, and then the copper wire connected to 'G' is wound around the polyethylene layer to eliminate the error of measuring the volume resistance caused by the 'L' end exposed to the air discharge).
3, preselected test power supply voltage:
Select the 'high voltage preselection' rotary switch to the desired test supply voltage. If you need to start from 0V, you need to rotate the 'high-pressure adjustment' knob counterclockwise to the end.
4, connect the working power:
Turn the meter's 'power switch' on, the indicator above the switch is on, and the 'kV' voltmeter display should be 0.00kV.
5, test start:
Press the 'high voltage control' button, then the high voltage is output from the L terminal. The 'kV' meter shows the voltage value between the LE and the 'stopwatch' starts timing.
6, test the power voltage fine-tuning:
Adjust the 'high voltage' knob to smoothly adjust the voltage to the specified value.
7, resistance range selection:
Select the resistance range switch to the desired range, or step from the MΩ step to the 200GΩ range. If the meter continuously reports an alarm, it indicates that the measured resistance is too low.
8, resistance readings:
Read the resistance value through the MΩ/GΩ meter. The stopwatch is reported 15 seconds, 60 seconds, every 60 seconds after the high pressure output. Easy to record by the operator.
When the megohmmeter measurement response time is less than 15 seconds (to 99%), the capacitance and interference of the object to be measured do not affect the accurate reading of the instrument. The calculation formula for the absorption ratio and polarization index is:
Absorption ratio = R60S/R15S - resistance reading for the 60th second and resistance reading for the 15th second
Polarization Index = R10min/R1min - resistance reading for the 10th minute 电阻 resistance reading for the 1st minute
9, test power supply voltage exit:
Exit the 'High Pressure Control' button, then the 'kV' table will slowly return to zero and the digital stopwatch will exit the display.
10, end:
After the 'kV' table is displayed as 0.00kV, it is connected to the earth through the artificial discharge rod of the object to be tested, and after it is proved to be safe, it can be shut down, disconnected, and ended.
