Xinjiang's largest silicon carbide project Kuitun started investment of 1.6 billion

On October 15, the largest green silicon carbide production project in Xinjiang with a total investment of 1.6 billion yuan was held in the Economic and Technological Development Zone of the Agricultural Seventh Division Wuwu New Town, marking the launch of the project. Xinjiang Yinet 200,000 tons of green silicon carbide and 60,000 tons of ultra-fine micro-powder project is the investment attraction project signed by the No.1 Agricultural Division of the Seventh Division of the Seventh Division at the Wuqi Fair this year with Shandong Yinet Silicon Industry Co., Ltd. The total investment of the project is 1.6 billion yuan. After the completion of the project, the annual output value will reach 4 billion yuan, the profit and tax will be 800 million yuan, and more than 700 new jobs will be created. At the same time, the agricultural seven divisions will be promoted to develop the tertiary industry.

It is understood that silicon carbide has high hardness, high wear resistance, high melting point, high temperature heat conduction and low expansion, low shrinkage and other multi-cycle utilization characteristics, widely used in solar photovoltaic industry, petrochemical, aerospace and other high-tech fields.

The construction of the project is the Xinjiang North Construction Group. The project is divided into two phases. The first phase of the project was completed and put into operation in August 2011, and the second phase was completed by the end of October 2012.
