According to the China Trade Relief Network, the US International Trade Commission issued an announcement on January 20th that it will make a final ruling on anti-dumping industry damages to sterols originating in China. The ruling believed that if anti-dumping measures were to be cancelled, substantial damage to the domestic industry in the United States would continue or reoccur during a reasonable and predictable period.
According to the positive ruling, the US Department of Commerce will continue to impose anti-dumping duties on sterols originating in China.

On May 8, 1995, the U.S. Department of Commerce finalized the case and ruled that the dumping margin of the companies involved in the case in China was 45.27%. On September 1, 2011, the U.S. Department of Commerce conducted the third anti-dumping sunset review of the case.
