Siebel successfully completed capacity expansion plan

Recently, the Russian petrochemical giant Sibur Group announced that its subsidiary Polief has successfully completed its PET capacity expansion mission. After the capacity expansion, Polief's PET production capacity increased from the previous 140,000 tons/year to 210,000 tons/year.

In order to further expand the production scale, Polief also set up a new production line while upgrading and upgrading the original PET plant. It is reported that the energy expansion project cost a total of 1.9 billion rubles (38 million euros).

In a statement, the Sable Group stated that despite the high investment costs, the capacity expansion project is very necessary. The new production line enabled Polief to independently complete the production of terephthalic acid and provide raw materials for the market's polymers. At the same time, the increase in the overall output of the factory can effectively ease Russia’s dependence on imported PET.
