PetroChina Pipeline Niger Oilfield Construction Project Commenced Production

The 1,000,000-ton/year oilfield surface construction project of Agedam (AGEDAM) constructed by PetroChina (601857) Pipeline Bureau was formally put into production. Bureau of Pipeline Director Zhao Yujian stated that the production of the Agadem Oil Field marked that the one-million-tonne integration of Nissan’s phase one of China Petroleum was transformed from the construction phase to the production phase, and China Petroleum Africa’s oil and gas cooperation zone has made important progress.

Located in the desert hinterland, the Ajadim oil field is a well in Niger, and the oil field ground construction project is undertaken by the PetroChina Pipeline Bureau Six. According to Ge Yueguang, general manager of the six companies, since the official start of construction in July 2009, Chinese builders have withstood the tests of high-temperature exposure, frequent sand storms, and natural and harsh weather plagued by poisonous snake venom, overcoming the sparsely populated area within a radius of 400 kilometers. There was no great difficulty in relying on social support, and successfully resolved the operational risks brought about by the change of government in Niger and ensured the steady implementation of project construction.
