After preliminary investigation, the shipyard iron ore mining area is located in 8 townships such as Matang Township in Matang of the county. The width of the northwest is between 2 and 30 kilometers, covering an area of ​​87.8 square kilometers. The project team introduced that in 2011, the favorable selection of magnetite or mixed minerals will be selected for detailed investigation. It is estimated that the iron ore reserves will be up to 81.42 million tons, ranking the forefront of the province's reserves of the same type of mineral reserves, including magnetite 34.41 million tons , 49.01 million tons of hematite.
