On the other hand, from the point of view of usage, as the shipment of beer and beverages plummeted, the sales of cans for plates fell to the lowest value since 1992. However, due to the adoption of aluminum in bottles and cans and some coffee cans, Driven by the increase in demand, the total sales volume of aluminum plates for bottles and cans was 436.696 million tons, which was a year-on-year increase of 3.1%. In 2015, although the production of cars decreased, the export of high-grade cars using aluminum plates increased, and the demand for aluminum plates for trucks also increased. Sales of the Toyota Prius are booming, and the total sales volume of automotive aluminum sheets was 145.761 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.5%. In contrast, due to the downturn in the domestic construction industry in Japan, the sales of aluminum extrusions fell for three consecutive years to 459.91 million tons, a decrease of 9.6% year-on-year in 2014, and sales of automotive aluminum extrusions were 13,200 tons. At the same time, from the point of view of the capacitor and lithium battery industry, the total sales volume of aluminum foil was 478.43 million tons, a decrease of 5.2% year-on-year.
