Italian footwear industry exports grew by 6.4% in the first half of 2010

Recently, the Milan International Footwear Exhibition (MICAM) was held in Milan. The shoe show has made a new leap forward. The exhibition area is 71,000 square meters, of which 585 exhibitors are foreign exhibitors. At the same time, MIPEL exhibited an area of ​​30,000 square meters and 387 exhibitors were mainly Italian exhibitors, reaching 254. Many Italian exhibitors stated that in order to cope with competition from China, their already high-end products are moving to the higher end. According to the data, the Italian footwear industry’s exports increased by 6.4% in the first half of 2010; leather bag manufacturing exports increased by 15%.
