Honeywell will design a helmet for the Chinese

Who says innovation is dead? Honeywell demonstrated on the 5th the specially designed hard hat for Chinese human head shape.

According to reports, at an investment briefing, Honeywell explained how they will continue to target the rapidly growing Chinese and Indian markets. Executives of the company highlighted the redesigned H99 helmets at the conference, claiming that this product is "tailor-made for the Chinese" and that its dimensions are suitable for customers in the Asian market.

Honeywell claimed in the conference materials that the new design fits more closely with the rounded head shape than the typical oval head of Westerners. This result is promising: Honeywell won the 2012 China Success Design Award with its new product.

According to Shane Ted Jalati, head of Honeywell’s global high-growth region, the new helmet is just one of the company’s many products that target Chinese people’s specific needs. Other products include air purification systems for residential buildings, water purifiers, masks, and food packaging, all of which address people’s concerns about air, water, and food contamination.
