Dafeng City, Jiangsu Province has a coastline of 112 km long and a sea area of ​​about 5,000 km2. The waters with water depths of 5 to 20 meters cover an area of ​​more than 2,000 km2. The average wind speed along the coast is as high as 7.5 m/s; the annual sunshine is 2200. A group of companies, including China Power International, Datang Group, Longyuan Power, and the urban environmental protection industry, have successively invested in Dafeng, forming three major new energy industries such as wind power generation, photovoltaic power generation, and biomass power generation. The power generated by the Datang Photovoltaic Power Project was integrated into the power grid through a 20 kV line. In order to ensure its early access to the system, Dafeng City Power Supply Company grabs the time, schedules, and assaults. It has completed the erection of a 7.5-km long, 20-kV line in its access channel in just 15 days. It is understood that since 2007, Dafeng Power Supply Company has completed an investment of 584 million yuan, implemented 18 coastal power transmission construction or transformation projects, expanded 220 kV rich and powerful substations, and boosted 110 kV Wanggang substations. Coastal power infrastructure projects have been completed one after another, effectively improving Dafeng's power grid structure, alleviating the difficulties of generating power into the power grid in Dafeng wind power plants, and satisfying the requirements for new wind power sources to be connected to the power grid.
