The structure of the hardware fittings should be adapted to the structure and opening method of the plastic window. The most widely used opening methods for plastic windows are casement windows and sliding windows, and a few are flat and open windows. All the swinging, flipping, lifting and sliding windows are realized by different forms of hardware parts.

Installation location and quantity of hardware accessories

(1) Hinge: The number of plastic window hinges should be determined according to the size of the sash, the opening direction of the sash (inside opening and opening), the thickness and number of layers of the glass, the wind condition of the area in which the window is used, the height of the building, etc. The number of hinges.

(2) The number of handles and linkage handles. The handle is usually placed in the middle of the window sash, about 1.5m away from the ground. When the sash height is <800mm, one handle is required; when the sash height is >800mm, two handles must be installed, and the position is at 1/4 of the upper and lower ends of the sash. However, the problem with the two handles is that when the window is installed at a high or large window sash, the short person can not reach the above handle, so the linkage handle should be used to achieve multi-point locking.

(3) Window keeper (also known as window struts), the installation position should be such that the sash opening angle is greater than 90° and the sash opening angle is greater than 60°.

(4) Sliding window lock type buckle is recommended to be installed at the midpoint of the height of the push-pull fan.

(5) The position of the sliding window pulley is 100mm from the corner (below the glass block). Install at least two pulleys per sash.

Fixing hardware accessories

The fixing of the plastic window hardware is different from the wooden window. Since the wooden window is a solid profile, the hardware is fixed by wood screws, and the riveting force is high. The plastic window is a cavity profile with a wall thickness of 23 mm. It is not possible to use ordinary wood screws. Self-tapping screws or rivets must be used. For the hardware components (hinge, support, etc.) carried, in principle, the hardware components need to be fixed on the inserted reinforcing lining members. If there is no reinforcement, the screw must pass at least the thickness of the two layers of the plastic profile. One of the reasons is that the screw fixing the hinge is subjected to two kinds of forces. The second reason is that the joint strength between the screw and the profile is affected by temperature, and the hinge is fixed. The stress distribution is a pull-out force in the horizontal direction and a shear force in the vertical direction. Experiments have shown that the shear stress of plastic profiles is greater than the stress drawn. Therefore, the gripping force or the pulling strength of the screw is usually used as the riveting procedure of the screw. The higher the pull-out strength of the screw, the higher the pull-out strength of the screw fixed on the reinforcing lining of the profile is about 3 times higher than the pull-out strength of the profile without the lining. For carrying small hardware parts, it is considered that no reinforcing ribs are added. This is because the inner wall of the profile forms a balancing moment with the screw, which effectively prevents the shearing force from being broken at the joint between the screw and the profile, and accordingly increases the pulling out. The reason for the strength.
